Consus: "Harvest and preserve the harvest."
In ancient Rome, Consus was the god of the granary — protector of the harvest and guardian of what had been earned through patience and disciplined effort. Not just the act of gathering, but the wisdom to preserve.
We chose the name because it reflects how we invest. Opportunity is only the beginning. What separates enduring firms from opportunistic ones is what happens after — the discipline to manage well, protect value through cycles, and stay engaged long after the capital is deployed.
“Harvest what matters. Preserve what lasts.”
What drives us
Consus was built on a straightforward conviction: the most durable returns come from investing in things that genuinely need to exist. That means sustainable development that solves real housing and infrastructure challenges, responsible investment guided by environmental, social, and governance standards that we treat as a floor rather than a ceiling, and capital provision structured around the actual needs of the businesses and projects we back.
We pursue long-term partnerships with entrepreneurs and management teams who have genuine growth potential and the ambition to realise it. We are not looking for short-term transactions. We are looking for the right people, in the right markets, at the right moment — and we bring everything we have to making those partnerships work.
Let’s make things better
Our goal is clear: to become a highly trusted disciplined capital partner for senior living development and strategic equity in Europe. The demographic case for what we build is structural and multi-decade in nature. The gap between what is needed and what is being delivered is widening. We intend to close a meaningful part of it — with the same rigour and long-term thinking that has guided every investment we have made since 2011.
Beyond real estate, we are deepening our strategic equity work — building a portfolio of established businesses, where our capital, M&A expertise, and board-level involvement create compounding value over time. The horizon we invest against is not a fund cycle. It is serving a generation and preferably even longer.
What we are building toward
Built on 30+ years of combined international experience in M&A, real estate development, and corporate advisory.
How we got here
Consus was founded as a family office for Wim Schreuder and Louise Olesen Krämer – both entrepreneurs who had spent years building a pan-European group of companies in the food industry. They exited those businesses in two steps, in 2006 and 2009. They have found Consus in order to deploy their capital in various industries, as well as in real estate.

What we believe
Keep value and enhance, for the next generation. We like to invest, we like to exit.
We like working with partners who we have a klick with, partners become friends, ideally.
We believe that earning a profit is never wrong. However, as we generate returns to secure the future of coming generations, we recognize our responsibility to act sustainably. After all, future generations are not served by financial wealth if it comes at the expense of a damaged planet.

Entrepreneur & Investor
Wim Schreuder (born 1969, Goes, Netherlands) brings over 25 years of hands-on experience in the food industry and real estate development — with a track record of building, scaling, and successfully exiting businesses across Europe.
His journey began in 1995 at Fruity King Verssap (Rotterdam), where as Commercial Director he helped grow the fresh juice company before a €8M sale in 2000. That same year, he took the helm at Frische GmbH in Germany, scaling revenues from €14M to €117M by 2009 — including a €27M management buyout in 2006 — before a successful exit to the Valensina Group.
From 2010, Wim turned to strategic investment through Krämer Schreuder GmbH and Consus GmbH, acquiring and divesting companies including Beckers Bester, Fruitraco Nederland, and Toppas DOO (Serbia), generating a combined exit volume of €22M.
Since 2017, his focus has shifted to real estate development in Germany — delivering residential and care projects in Rüdesheim am Rhein and Duisburg, with a total transaction volume of €42M.
Fluent in Dutch, German, English, French, and Danish, Wim operates seamlessly across the Dutch-German corridor — combining entrepreneurial drive with deep international expertise.
Louise Olesen Krämer brings over 25 years of international business experience spanning strategic consulting, export management, and real estate development.
After studying Sinology and international trade — including a year at Tongji University in Shanghai — Louise began her career at Sanyo Fischer in Munich, followed by a trade facilitation role at the Royal Danish Consulate General in Düsseldorf, focused on the textile and apparel sectors.
From 1999 to 2009, she served as co-owner and export manager at FSP Frischsaft Frische Produktions GmbH in Mönchengladbach, driving sales and exports to Scandinavia and the Benelux region. Since 2009, she has co-owned Krämer Schreuder GmbH in Krefeld, overseeing consulting in market and personnel analysis, company acquisitions, financial management, and real estate investments with a focus on assisted-living facilities.
Today, Louise is co-founder of Consus GmbH, the group’s holding company for real estate and investment activities, and serves as Office Manager at Domusa Living. Fluent in Danish, German, and English, with a good working knowledge of Dutch, she operates seamlessly across borders and cultures.
Dr.ir.ing. Wilco Tijhuis (PhD, MSc, BSc)
Born in 1965 in The Netherlands, Wilco Tijhuis is a rare blend of academic rigor and real-world entrepreneurship — with a career spanning international construction, real estate development, and strategic business transformation across Europe and beyond.
Educated in construction and management sciences, Wilco earned his BSc in 1987, his MSc from Eindhoven University of Technology in 1992 (specializing in industrialized concrete production technologies), and his PhD in 1996 — defending a thesis titled “Contractors at Work or in Conflict?” — introducing his influential 3C-Model, connecting technology, contracts, and the human factor in international collaboration.
His early career included pioneering work for Wessels Groep in Germany and later with the then stock-listed Kondor Wessels Groep (now VolkerWessels) in Berlin, developing large-scale multi-functional housing areas and complete urban neighborhoods.
Since 1997, Wilco has held a part-time position as Assistant Professor at the University of Twente, teaching international construction strategy and management — complemented since March 2026 by an appointment as Visiting Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Hong Kong. Alongside academia, he built an entrepreneurial track record across Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, China, and the Middle East — spanning complex, capital-intensive projects and corporate carve-outs.
More recently, he coordinated the restructuring of Van Wijnen Groep’s German operations following their 2020 acquisition by HAL Investments, and supported a German firm in realigning strategy and attracting growth capital.
Since October 2025, Wilco has been active at Consus GmbH, focused on structuring its real estate development strategy and building a portfolio positioned for long-term, sustainable growth.
Arjen Boon (24 August 1972) has been an entrepreneur at heart from an early age. He started his career in a family business specializing in promotional products, which he successfully helped grow and eventually sell in 2012. After this exit, Arjen continued building and developing several businesses, many of which he later sold, while gradually expanding his focus into real estate.
Alongside his activities in property development, Arjen remains active in entrepreneurship and marketing. Today, he runs an upcycling textile atelier in Amsterdam and manages an online marketing company, combining creativity with commercial strategy. Marketing, promotion and real estate have always been central to his interests and experience.
With this background, Arjen now serves as Commercial Director at Consus, where he focuses on building partnerships, strengthening the brand and supporting the commercial growth of the organization.
